The Conestoga Cottage | Hot Tub, Rustic Charm, Near Downtown Lancaster

Pro: Peter was excellent. History home was architecturally beautiful. CON: Home was not clean!!! We even found blood on the floor & walls in 3 rooms. Couldn't even use hot tub because unfortunately it was disgusting. We drove by more than 4 hours before our check in and cleaners were arriving. This house hadn't been dusted in a very long time. Floors definitely weren't cleaned. Crumbs in drawers and furniture. Could hear mice in the walls. Rented this home because of the hot tub and it was filthy. They sent someone to clean it and it still had stuff in the bottom. The worst was the blood. It was on the floor, bathroom walls and dinning room table!!! This could be a wonderful rental.

Beautiful neighborhood of stone Tudor-style homes. Our cottage was perfect with fireplace and dining table for big family gatherings! We would love to rebook!

The house was clean, organized, and included clear instructions. We were a family of seven traveling with a dog, and this home provided a great base for exploring Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Lancaster, Knoebels, and Gettysburg.There is also a great place nearby called Sickman’s Mill, which I highly recommend if you enjoy tubing, good food, and drinks. The house provides easy access to several hiking and biking trails, including a rail trail along the Susquehanna River.Overall, the location exceeded our expectations. The host also responded quickly to a maintenance issue and had it corrected within four hours. I highly recommend this VRBO if your travels bring you to south-central Pennsylvania.
